Emergency Cooling Station - Community Center

The National Weather Service has issued an extreme weather warning starting today and lasting until Monday night.

As a precaution, we have activated our cooling station, which is located at the Community Center. The Community Center is on the 1st floor of City Hall at 200 Washington Blvd S.

Starting at noon today, we will keep the Community Center open to allow those who need to escape the heat a place to do so. The Community Center will remain open all weekend from 12 noon to 6 pm every day.

If you need assistance getting to the Community Center, call City Hall at 253-833-2742, and we will have the community transit vehicle pick you. You can also call the non-emergency line of the Police Department at 253 852 2121 for assistance.
